Lance Light Destroyer When the original Uhlans proved to be too slow and lightly armed, the designers at Trebizond announced their replacement. The Lances have more armour than the Kometas, acceleration of 4.4gs (with fuel for 80 days) and FTL cruise speed of 954c. There are 6 Scythe High velocity cannons fitted in the nose. The ship has reasonably comfortable quarters for 100 crew, space for 600 tonnes of stores and can carry any shuttle smaller than 400 m3, although in service this was rarely carried. Although not optimised for atmospheric work, re-entry is possible. Lances were designed to take a lifting adapter in order to recover disabled ships from planets.
